Summit on the Circle Art in Historic Homes

Event Description

This event is being held in conjunction with the 2026 Summit on the Circle, an annual cultural event in historic DeFuniak Springs, Florida. You will have an opportunity to make a unique piece of art in an historic home or building in DeFuniak Springs while learning the history and importance of that art in American culture. Art has been used for centuries for people to define their community, cultures, beliefs and feelings. It is an expression of not only self but the community and culture of the times, preserving traditions and history, and celebrating community heritage and beliefs. These workshops will allow you to create your own piece of unique art under the guidance of an experienced artisan and take home a memento of your experience. You can choose from Porcelain as a Palette, Fantasy Flowers in Watercolor, Cyanotype, Stained Glass and Locker Rug Hooking.
